Tools that show their work
MoneyVibe Tools is a free library of financial calculators tied together by one idea: enter seven numbers once, and every tool starts from your life instead of a blank form.
What this is
Most calculators answer one question in isolation and leave you to guess which question to ask next. Here, the Money Map takes seven numbers (age, income, spending, what you've invested, cash, high-interest debt, and your 401(k) contribution) and ranks the decisions worth the most to you, in dollars. Each decision opens the calculator that proves it, already filled in.
79 calculators are live today, with 0 more planned across 8 areas of personal finance. We publish each one only when its engine passes its tests against worked examples, and a tool that isn't there yet says so rather than showing a number we haven't checked. Everything runs in your browser and no account is needed.
Who it is for
First, people building a life in the US on a visa. Your status changes the money math: whether the IRS treats you as a resident, the foreign accounts you must report, the tax on mutual funds back home, what happens to a 401(k) when you leave, and whether going home beats staying. The visa calculators work all of it out with every number shown. Second, anyone planning to retire early who wants the drawdown, the Roth ladder and the health-insurance line worked out for free, without linking a bank. Everything else here stays open to everyone.
Principles we hold ourselves to
- The number comes first. Every page leads with a computed answer from your inputs. Copy explains it; it never replaces it.
- We show the math. The formula, a worked example using your numbers, the assumptions, and dated sources sit on the page, not behind a link. See Methodology.
- We prove it. Calculation engines are tested against worked examples, and the results are public on the verification page, including what isn't covered yet.
- Nothing is gated. No login, no email wall, no “submit to see your result.” Email is optional and never required to use a tool.
- One profile, everywhere. You enter your numbers once and they stay on your device. See Privacy.
Who’s behind it
MoneyVibe Tools is built by Hussain Sehorewala as part of MoneyVibe, a personal-finance platform. You can reach the team any time at support@moneyvibe.ai.
How this is paid for
The calculators are free and will stay free. Paid guides are in preparation: the Guides shelf previews them, none is on sale yet, and nothing on this site takes payment today. When one is, it will be clearly labeled, and it will never hold back a number a calculator gives you. If we ever add advertising or affiliate links, we will label them and describe them here.
