AIS (Annual Information Statement)

A statement on India's income tax portal that shows tax deducted or collected at source, taxes paid, demands and refunds, and information the department receives from banks, registrars and other sources. Form 26AS is the older view of the tax deducted and paid. Both are the department's record to compare with your own before you file.
